 Warm, qualified, and present—that’s our team. At 123 Boerum Childcare, Inc., children are known as individuals. We keep our staff small and consistent: three full-time educators, one part-time support teacher, and a weekly children’s yoga instructor. 

•  Play-based & purposeful: Skills grow through songs, stories, dramatic play, sensory work, and outdoor time.
• Calm, consistent care: Gentle routines, clear communication, and plenty of encouragement.
• Family partnership: Daily check-ins, photo updates when possible, and practical ideas for home.
• Safety first: We meet or exceed NYC/NY State licensing standards and maintain required training and clearances.

•  Program Director & Lead Educator (Full-Time)
  Oversees day-to-day operations, staff coaching, family communication, and curriculum planning for our toddler focus. Ensures a warm, predictable, developmentally rich environment.
• Lead Toddler Teacher (Full-Time)
  Guides circle time, language-rich activities, and social-emotional learning. Designs weekly themes that weave in counting, colors, movement, and early literacy.
• Assistant Teacher (Full-Time)
  Supports small-group work, sensory/art invitations, positive behavior routines, and smooth transitions (diapering, handwashing, mealtimes).
• Support Educator (Part-Time)
  Floats where needed for ratios and coverage during breakfast, nap transitions, and afternoon pick-up. Keeps afternoons calm and connected.
• Children’s Yoga Instructor (Weekly)
  Leads playful, age-appropriate yoga—breath, balance, and body awareness—for confidence and self-regulation.

•  Required NYC/NY State clearances, including background checks.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certified; ongoing health, safety, and child development training.
• We follow (and aim to exceed) licensed staff-to-child ratios and supervision standards.
• Continuous professional development to keep practices current and responsive.

• Warm greetings at arrival and thoughtful good-byes at pick-up.
• Consistent routines for diapering, meals, nap, and transitions.
• A steady stream of songs, stories, movement, and open-ended play.
• Respect for each child’s pace, culture, and budding independence.
